How Many Hours Should You Hire a Photo Booth?
Two hours suits most events, three suits some. How to work out the right hire length for your guest count, and when adding an hour actually pays off.
Two hours suits most events
It is our most-booked length for good reason. Two hours is long enough for every guest at a typical party or reception to have a turn, and short enough that the booth is busy the whole time rather than sitting idle.
Remember setup and pack-down sit outside your hire hours with us, so two hours means two hours of running booth.
When three hours makes sense
Over about 150 guests, two hours gets tight — especially with a print booth, where each group takes slightly longer.
The 360 booth is a three-hour package as standard, because it takes one group at a time and you want everyone to get a go.
Longer events with a formal middle section — speeches, presentations, an auction — also benefit, because the booth is effectively paused during those.

A simple rule of thumb
Roughly 60 to 80 guests per hour will use a photo booth if it is well run. Divide your guest count by 70 and round up. If you land on 2.1, book two hours — not everyone uses it.
You can add an hour on the night
Extra hours are $100 and can be added on the spot if the party is still going. That is usually a better bet than paying up front for a fourth hour you might not need. Just tell your attendant.
