How Much Space Does a Photo Booth Need?
Exact footprint and power requirements for open air, print and 360 booths, plus what to do when your venue is tight or the event is outdoors.
The short answer
About 3m x 3m for our digital, print, glam and vintage booths, plus room for guests to gather in front. About 3m x 3m for the 360 booth, because guests step on and off a platform.
All of them run from a single standard power point within reach.
Why the guest space matters more than the booth space
The footprint people quote is the equipment. The space that actually matters is where guests queue and gather, because an open air booth is designed for groups of eight or more in one frame.
Put a booth in a corridor and you get pairs. Put it where a group can stand back, and you get the shot people actually want.
Ceiling height and lighting
Most venues are fine, but very low ceilings can be a problem for backdrop stands, which sit around 2m. If your venue has a low ceiling, tell us and we will plan around it.
Bright direct sunlight is harder than a dark room. Our booths handle both, but an outdoor daytime event benefits from shade — the gazebo add-on is $80.
Outdoors and no power
Battery hire is $100 for three hours and runs the booth anywhere. The gazebo is $80 for shade or light rain. We need flat, level ground — grass is fine, a slope is not.
