360 Video Booth Perth: Is It Worth It?

A 360 booth costs more than three times a digital booth. Here is an honest look at when that is money well spent and when a standard booth does the job better.

The Fotobooth Perth 360 video booth - a lit LED platform with a rotating camera arm and ring light, set up in front of a red rose flower wall

What a 360 booth actually is

Guests stand on a low platform while a camera arm rotates around them, filming. The software turns that into a slow-motion clip with speed ramps and a custom overlay, delivered to their phone within seconds.

It is not a photo booth that also does video. It is a different product with a different result. More on how it works.

The honest cost comparison

Our 360 booth is $998 for three hours. Our digital booth is $299 for two. That is more than three times the price, and it is fair to ask what you get for it.

What you get is the thing people actually post. A still photo gets looked at once. A 360 clip gets shared, and it reaches everyone who was not in the room.

When it is worth it

21sts and milestone birthdays. Usually the highlight of the night, and on socials before the party ends.

Brand activations and launches. It reliably draws the biggest crowd in a room, and every clip carries your branding. More on activations.

School balls and leavers events. A whole year group posting the same branded clip on the same night.

When it is not

For a wedding where guests want something to take home, a print booth often delivers more for less. Grandparents are not going to watch a slow-motion clip.

For a tight space, every one of our booths needs about 3m x 3m.

And for pure throughput, a photo booth serves more guests per hour. A 360 takes a group at a time.

Plenty of larger events run both. If you are choosing one, tell us your guest list and what you want out of the night, and we will say honestly which we would pick.
